Domenic Marte
Main Event on Saturday - July 17, 2010
at the
Parc 55 Hotel

Domenic Marte is a stateside bachata singer, songwriter, and producer with a light pop touch who made his solo debut in 2004 on Sony Discos and who has a number of tropical airplay hits to his credit. Based in Massachusetts and of Dominican heritage, Marte released his full-length album debut, Intimamente, in 2004 under the abbreviated name Domenic M (he would use his full name thereafter). The album spawned a series of hits, beginning with "Ven Tu," a Top Ten hit on Billboard's Latin Tropical Airplay chart; follow-up singles "Ella Se Llevo Mi Vida" and "La Quiero" also registered on the tropical airplay chart, going Top 20 and Top 40, respectively. Around the same time, Marte was featured on a couple songs on fellow Massachusetts singer Bylli Crayone's 2005 self-titled album, most notably the song "Toyfriend." In 2007 Marte released his second album, Deseos de Amarte, which, similar to its predecessor, spawned a Top Ten tropical airplay hit in the title track and a modest follow-up hit, "Con los Ojos Cerrados.

featuring
AVANCE
on Friday
at the
Parc 55 Hotel

AVANCE originates and consists of the hottest and newest talents the San Francisco Bay Area has come to know. Four electrifying bilingual singers, a sizzling horn section and one of the best rhythm sections on the West Coast. You put this all together and you get a new and unique sound that crosses the language barrier: Spanish and English. Leading the group is Carlos Santana percussionist/musical director, Karl Perazzo and Co-Founder/Vocalist Armando Cordoba. From Central America, Luis Morales, Jeff Cordoba, Jimmy Flores and Armando Cordoba, bring to the table each, his own style of vocals; enriching each song with it’s own personality. Rich vocals and an exhilarating dance show, these singers leave all audiences wanting more! AVANCEs’ musical productions combine and fuse all the different styles of salsa: Puerto Rican, Cuban, New York, and Colombian. Add to the mix R&B/pop, then you’ve got yourself a group with diversity and innovation, yet always familiar to the ear, and more importantly to the soul. AVANCEs’ ultimate goal is to spread their music and inspire all over the world. When you see and hear AVANCE you're guaranteed three things: Sizzle, Style and most of all SWING!!!

July 16 to 19, 2010
San Francisco, California USA
This year's Salsa Festival follows a decade of exceptional salsa dance festivals, events and nightlife put on by SalsaCrazy, Inc. in the heart of San Francisco. Last year's "Salsa in the Square" brought out thousands of dancers to Union Square for live music and lessons, and exposed countless people to the fun and passion of salsa dancing. This year, SalsaCrazy is combining both indoor and outdoor events, and greatly expanding the dance lessons, workshops, and live music.
"We have a fantastic line-up of salsa dance classes, with instructors from all over the world, and live music showcasing the Bay Area, that's going to make an exciting weekend of events at the Parc 55 hotel," says Margolin.
