About the Instructor:
JIM CHOW

From a young age Jim possessed the rhythm and
love of music and art which has influenced him throughout his life. He has always been known as an exceptional freestyle club dancer, how ever in 1999 when he was introduce to Salsa Dancing, his freestyle dancing days were over. It immediately became his biggest passion and his primary means for self expression. Although he was strongly influence with LA style on 1 and captivated by its flares, drama and its beauty, in early 2004 he started to combined lots of flavor and softness of NY style on 2, which now has created his own unique on 1 style that stands out above the rest.
To Jim, Salsa is more than just dance moves, it is playful, dramatic, sensual and flirtatious. Within a short period of time he was addicted and was dancing at the professional level. Jim has been a successful artist working nationally for 20 years and his art background has had a definite impact on his dancing and instruction. With his artistic eyes, Salsa is very much comparable to his on going mastery in the art of Kung Fu. With this he is able to correctly express body movement and body language, and is exceptional at sharing with his students accurate cues and directions for better footwork, patterns and styling.
Jim has danced with some of the most well known national and local dancers. To better offer the ladies with the great concept of being an outstanding follow, he complements his teaching instruction with his talented dance dance assistants that offer the grace, fun, flirtatiousness, and proper technique of ladies styling.
He has been demonstrating these techniques with students since 2002 in dance studios such as Cameo Dance, American Dance Institute as well as workshops in health clubs, Gold's Gym, 24 hrs Fitness, Columbia Athletic Club, Bally Total fitness, also numerous private lessons, private parties, fund raisers events, and has developed a loyal following. Jim gets a great deal of personal gratification when he is sharing his passion and seeing his students progressively mastering the art of Salsa. Why dance with just an instructor when you can dance with an artist?
His Keywords. Always follow your passion, forever be humble, and always open to learn.
